Elenor Green-Stride
Species
Half-Elf
Appearance
Elenor Green-Stride is a sharp-eyed half-elf woman whose wind-whipped black hair is threaded with premature silver and usually tied with red survey cord. Her skin is bronze-brown, weathered across the cheeks and nose, while her hands are broad, scarred, and permanently roughened by stone, bramble, and ink. She moves with the economical balance of someone accustomed to steep hills, but becomes visibly cautious near the hall's root-glass floor, stepping as if each pane might breathe beneath her boots. Her expression is severe at first glance, yet strangers often notice that she smiles whenever children correct her maps. She smells faintly of pine resin, lamp oil, and wet parchment. The unexpected contradiction is that this fearless public champion is deeply unnerved by enclosed spaces and refuses to sleep beneath a roof supported by living wood.
“Her voice is low, clear, and economical, with a rolling frontier cadence. In public hearings she speaks like a document being read aloud, every phrase carefully numbered.”

Distinguishing Features
A thin white scar crosses her left eyebrow and disappears into her hairline.
Her right thumb is stained permanently blue from survey ink.
Her cloak contains patches from seven confiscated noble banners.
She wears a brass measuring chain wound around her left forearm like a bracelet.
Her shadow sometimes appears rooted to the floor a moment longer than she is.
Voice
“Low, weathered, and precise, with a dry warmth that appears most clearly when she speaks to children or tired workers.”
Clothing
A durable deep-green travel cloak patched with colorful strips of tattered noble estate banners. Beneath it she wears a brown wool tunic, reinforced trousers, high mud-dark boots, a quilted leather vest, fingerless gloves, and several belts carrying map-cases, chalk, cord, ink, and tools.
Body Language
Elenor stands squarely with her weight distributed for sudden movement, one hand often resting on her measuring chain. During negotiations she leans forward like a drawn bow. Near root-glass, her shoulders tighten, her boots search for seams between panes, and she unconsciously counts her breaths.
