Patient, inquisitive, and possessive of every story. Founder studies mortal identity as a craft and regards truth as something that can be improved; Tybur calls this dangerous, while Annie admires the elegance of a perfect disguise.

The faith
How it began
In the first age, Ymir awakened as the Mother of Titans and spoke nine laws into the raw world.
Each law took Titan form, becoming Founder, Colossus, Grisha, Reyner, Annie, Zeke, Jaws, Pieck, and Tybur. Ymir set them to govern the world's changes, conflicts, shelters, and bonds, then turned her attention toward the fragile mortals who began to appear.
The heavens
Ymir is the first and greatest Titan, the Mother whose body became the horizon and whose breath gave motion to the world.
The Nine Commandments are her ancient offspring and appointed stewards, each bound to a different law of mortal existence. The world is not a finished creation but a living experiment: Ymir observes through her children, while their disagreements create change, danger, and opportunity.
Gods and mortals
The Nine Commandments engage directly with mortal life through dreams, omens, temporary avatars, and rare appearances in moments of crisis.
Their faith is not a distant temple creed: communities debate their teachings, bargain with their priests, and sometimes reject a Titan's advice. Clergy are guides and interpreters rather than unquestionable authorities; even Zeke's most devout followers are expected to explain the cost of an order.
After death
The dead cross the Ashen Threshold into Ymir's listening dark.
Founder may alter the memories they carry, but cannot erase the final truth of their lives; Tybur weighs their choices against the laws they kept or broke. Those judged useful to the living may return as dreams, omens, or ancestral voices. The unremembered are said to become sparks in Colossus's eternal furnace.

Conflicts
The wars
Founder quietly edits the memories through which Ymir's decrees are understood, while Zeke insists that every Commandment be obeyed without interpretation.
Grisha's appetite for battle repeatedly disrupts Reyner's defenses, and Colossus threatens to burn what Reyner shelters. Annie and Jaws compete over the art of imitation and sudden attack; Pieck bears the cost of their schemes. Tybur tries to impose strategy on all of them, though even Tybur cannot predict what Ymir will ask next.

Structure
The religion has nine principal traditions, each served by local keepers, teachers, and ritual specialists.
A regional conclave of nine seats convenes when the traditions disagree, with no seat automatically superior to the others. Ymir is honored above the assembly as Mother and source of the Commandments, but worshippers debate what her rule means. Temples often include a shared central hearth and nine distinct alcoves, making cooperation visible without erasing each deity's demands.
Theme
Devotion tested by curiosity: immense powers serve a mother's rule, yet their attention to mortals makes obedience, identity, protection, and freedom questions rather than settled answers.
Tone
Mortal-engaged: the Titans are ancient and overwhelming, yet they take genuine interest in mortal decisions and communities.
Their interventions bring aid, pressure, and complications, leaving mortals room to negotiate, resist, interpret, and change the course of divine plans.
