About
Eleanor refuses to sell a book until she has read it cover to cover or at least until she is satisfied with its first chapter. She often insists on reading aloud the first paragraph to the buyer. Rumor says her eyes sometimes glow faintly when she reads something truly old, and she always offers tea and a seat to anyone who wishes to peruse a volume before purchase.
