About

Kett weighs every stone twice, once on his balance and once in his palm. He is friendly with customers but dislikes haggling over work already completed. Jewelry here is displayed in shallow trays that fold away into the wagon, not in a permanent storefront.

Stash

4 items to steal

The stash · GM only

Kett's valuables are divided between a locked strongbox beneath the workbench and a false-bottom tin hidden among the tools. His caravan wagon doubles as a compact workshop, with its display trays secured by a cord of small silver bells.

Security check: DC 13Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) or Dexterity check with thieves' tools
If they fail: A string of tiny silver bells tied beneath the counter gives Kett warning if the locked strongbox is opened or the hanging tray is disturbed. He shouts for nearby caravan guards, then blocks the narrow gap between the wagons while they arrive. The party is confronted, and Kett demands the stolen goods back before deciding whether to involve Triel's authorities.
The whole haul: About 60 gp

Change Purse3 gp
Kept: Tied to a peg beneath the counter
The day's small-change float, mostly silver and copper, tucked in a leather purse beneath the counter. Kett keeps the larger takings elsewhere.
Value: 3 gp, 8 sp, 20 cp
Kett's Locket1 gp
Kept: Inside a small bedroll chest in the sleeping wagon
A worn brass locket containing a faded scrap of a family portrait. It has sentimental worth to Kett but little resale value.
Matched Garnets50 gp
Kept: In a false-bottom tin beneath the tool tray
A matched pair of garnets wrapped in wool, intended for a customer's unfinished silver setting.
Commission Ledger5 gp
Kept: In a waxed leather sleeve inside the strongbox
A narrow ledger recording commissions, deposits, and customer marks. It could expose who is traveling with costly jewelry, but has little value to anyone who cannot read the notations.
Value: 5 gp to the right buyer
