About

Crusty Kora's Stuff and Shit Imporia is a floor-to-ceiling thicket of kettles, boots, candles, jars, rope coils, old toys, moth-eaten coats, and charms that swing though the air is still. The narrow aisles seem to rearrange themselves, yet Kora can reach for any object without looking. She is an urbanite bog witch from the swamps of Cheekago, a vast southern marshland, and speaks of the capital as if it were a damp little village. A ring disguises her as a young woman, but the apparent age changes every day at dawn. She knows every price and every curse, and marks dangerous stock with a neat little tag. The fifteen cursed curios range from embarrassing nuisances to severe contact curses; Kora insists she has never sold a cursed item by accident.

Kora keeps the cash and personal effects in her cramped back room, records in a locked desk, and the most dangerous stock on high shelves behind the counter. The store is a maze of stacked crates, hanging charms, and narrow aisles, but Kora knows every creaking board and can find any item blindfolded.

Security check: DC 15Dexterity (Stealth) to move quietly, followed by Dexterity with thieves' tools to open the locked ledger drawer
If they fail: If a theft attempt fails, the brass counter bell rings by itself. Kora appears from behind a hanging curtain within moments, already holding the suspect's name ledger. She demands the goods back and calls for the night watch if the party resists. Touching the Root-Knot or the Shadow-Leech Stone during the attempt may also trigger its curse.
