The shop is called The Chisel Yard, named for the stonecutters' workshop that once occupied the site. Its low basalt walls are crowded with iron hooks, rune-marked shelves, and hanging bundles of dried herbs. A squat stove glows beneath a shelf of potion bottles, filling the room with the smells of hot metal, bitter roots, and lamp oil. Behind the counter stands Grumja, an orc enchanter with a shaved scalp, broad tusks capped in brass, and ink-black fingertips. She speaks plainly, prices fairly, and dislikes customers who touch untested enchantments. A little bell made from a chipped sword pommel hangs over the door; when it rings, the shop's resident raven gives a raspy warning from the rafters.
