About
The armory is called Bristlepatch Armory, named for the thorny bristle bushes that keep returning through cracks in the lane stones outside. Its low stone frontage is crowded with practice shields and rust-red spearheads; inside, the air smells of lamp oil, leather, and hot iron. A narrow counter divides visitors from racks of weapons, while armor hangs in orderly rows beneath a soot-dark ceiling. The proprietor, Olli, is a broad-shouldered human veteran with a close-cropped gray beard and a missing fingertip. He tests every buckle himself, speaks plainly, and insists customers lift a shield before buying it. He keeps the more valuable stock in a rear room and quietly watches anyone who studies the locks.
