About

Every item has a place, though almost none of those places are visible. Kora can retrieve anything in seconds and remembers every price, curse, and customer who has handled a questionable object. She warns buyers plainly about curses, but does not stop them from buying. Her age is masked by a ring: at dawn, the young woman's apparent age changes, sometimes by only a year and sometimes by decades. A hand-painted board by the door reads, 'ASK BEFORE TOUCHING. ESPECIALLY THE JARS.'

The shop's valuables and records are scattered through the maximalist clutter, but the day's cash is tied under the counter and the best goods sit on shelves behind the glass cabinet. Kora knows the layout perfectly, and narrow aisles make quiet movement difficult.

Security check: DC 15Dexterity (Stealth) to move through the clutter without alerting Kora; thieves' tools to open the cabinet
If they fail: A brass bell rings behind the counter, and a jarred frog croaks three times. Kora appears from behind a wall of hanging cookware within moments. She demands the stolen goods back, then uses her knowledge of the clutter to block exits and call the street watch if the intruders resist. Anyone who touched the Stillwater Eye or the Widow's Listening Locket may also have triggered its curse.
