The shop's takings and valuables are split between a locked counter drawer and a cabinet near the forge. The narrow front room opens onto the street, while the rear work area is crowded with tools and watched by the shopkeeper when he is present.

Security check: DC 14Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) to lift the purse or ledger unnoticed; thieves' tools check to open a lock quietly
If they fail: A loose floorboard creaks near the rear workbench, alerting Urtag. He blocks the narrow route to the front door with a long-handled hammer and calls for the night watch. A failed attempt brings an immediate confrontation and likely a report to the local authorities, rather than an automatic fight to the death.
The whole haul: About 64 gp

Day-Till Purse18 gp
Kept: In a locked drawer beneath the front counter.
A leather purse containing the day's small sales, mostly silver and copper with a few gold pieces.
Value: 18 gp, 7 sp, 4 cp
Urtag's Brass Token5 sp
Kept: On a cord beneath the shopkeeper's shirt, or in his apron if he has removed it.
A worn brass token stamped with a simple animal silhouette, carried for luck and of little value to anyone else.
Fine Steel Billets35 gp
Kept: In a locked cabinet beside the quenching trough.
A small bundle of unusually clean steel billets set aside for a commissioned order.
Order Ledger10 gp
Kept: Under the counter, behind a stack of order tags.
A ledger tracking customer deposits, unpaid balances, and promised deliveries. It could be valuable to a creditor or someone seeking leverage, but is difficult to sell openly.
Value: 10 gp to a buyer with a reason to want the information
