These are the first of the Cyaan to walk the earth. They believe in a strict caste system of status earned through bloodline. The only known Royal lines originated from Trueborns. Known royal lines that existed in the early eras were the Glitterfell, Incandessa and Goldenfield.
Trueborn are the first to admit that they are the superior. They feel if any Cyaan were born to rule it would be them. Many of them work (well their staff and workers do). Most own Vineyards, Plantations, Mines or Moneylenders. They like any Cyaan don't mind a hard days within reason of course. Trueborns can have Resistance to all Cold and Fire and have Advantage on Death Save Throws.
Virellan culture treats attentive listening as a civic skill, taught alongside practical work such as cooking, tending fields, and repairing tools.
Communities hold seasonal gatherings where disputes can be aired before the harvest is brought in. A Virellan may be invited to mediate, but custom requires the parties to ask rather than assume. Their emotional sensitivity is considered a capacity that needs discipline, not a magical license to read minds. Many Virellans learn to set boundaries through ritual phrases, quiet walks, or the grounding task of tending a garden.
Virellans honor a wide range of gods and local traditions.
Many give thanks to deities associated with harvest, hearth, healing, or honest judgment, and some keep secular customs of remembrance instead. Their culture prizes compassion and responsibility, but does not prescribe an alignment; Virellans can be generous, calculating, dutiful, or rebellious like anyone else.
Virellans often become trusted intermediaries between communities, though their willingness to listen can be mistaken for agreement.
They form close friendships across cultural boundaries and value clear consent, especially when offering comfort or counsel. Some people find their emotional sensitivity unsettling, while others exploit it by treating Virellans as endlessly available confidants. Virellan communities teach that empathy is a way to understand another person, not a claim to know their mind.
Virellan communities favor open, welcoming buildings arranged around shared kitchens, gardens, and meeting rooms.
Their homes are commonly built from local timber, clay, and stone, with broad porches and windows facing the road. In the plains, windbreaks of trees and planted hedges shelter villages. Silver jewelry and amethyst adornments are often heirlooms, exchanged at important life events rather than displayed as evidence of wealth.
