These people may inherit human adaptability and Gith-descended discipline in many forms. No ability score increases are fixed by ancestry; assign ability score increases according to your character creation rules and concept.
Human–Githyanki hybrids carry a meeting of worlds in their bodies, but not a prescribed place between them. Their inherited psionic talent and resilience may draw attention, while their names, loyalties, beliefs, and sense of home come from individual lives. One may be raised by both parents on the Material Plane, another by a human family who knows little of the stars. Neither ancestry nor appearance tells you whom they serve.
Human–Githyanki hybrids combine features in highly individual ways.
Some have pointed ears or distinctive facial mottling associated with Githyanki ancestry; others show subtler signs, or none that strangers immediately recognize. Human skin tones, facial structures, hair textures, and builds vary widely. The result is not a single standard appearance but a spectrum of family resemblances. Va'ren Bell, for example, has brown skin, short black twisted locs, golden-amber eyes, pointed ears, facial mottling, and a lean athletic build.
Otherworldly origins, with individuals found wherever their families and lives take them, including the Material Plane.
Childhood follows the customs and pace of the household that raises them. Early signs of psionic sensitivity may appear, though they do not dictate a child's character or future.
Hybrids typically reach physical maturity at an age comparable to humans. Their families and communities differ in how they mark adulthood.
Most live lives broadly comparable in length to humans, though individual health, magic, and circumstance vary.
Later life brings no single inherited tradition or expected role. Elders are recognized according to the communities and relationships they have built.
Human–Githyanki hybrids do not constitute a unified people with a shared civilization.
Their upbringing may involve one parent, two families, adoptive kin, or communities far from either ancestry's traditional societies. Individual personalities, cultures, and loyalties are shaped by lived experience, not prescribed by ancestry. Some explore their origins closely; others regard them as one part of a much larger identity.
No religion, alignment, or political allegiance is inherent to this ancestry.
Individuals follow faiths and philosophies learned from family, community, travel, or personal conviction, and may embrace, question, or reject those teachings.
Others may assume that a hybrid belongs to a Githyanki faction, has inherited a particular political allegiance, or must explain their appearance.
Such assumptions are not reliable. Hybrids form relationships and allegiances through the same varied experiences as anyone else, and many navigate questions of identity without treating either side of their ancestry as a complete definition.
There is no single homeland or architectural tradition shared by these hybrids.
A character's home may reflect a human settlement, an astral or extraplanar refuge, or a household that combines influences from both parents. Va'ren Bell's secluded Material Plane home is one example, not a cultural norm.
