Finitens shape how others perceive them through cultivated presence, uncanny imitation, and magic that makes a convincing impression linger. They are full spellcasters whose signature strength is bending attention and social certainty, while their spells provide the broader tools to influence, conceal, and escape. A Finiten's appearance is a deliberate instrument—expressed through clothing, bearing, voice, or a chosen persona, never dependent on any particular body.

Spellcasting
You learn to cast spells using Charisma. You prepare spells from the Bard spell list; use the Bard's full-caster spell-slot progression, cantrips known, and prepared-spell count for your level. Charisma is your spellcasting ability, and your spell save DC and spell attack modifier use the standard formula.
Crafted Presence
You gain proficiency in Deception and one of Performance, Persuasion, or Sleight of Hand. Choose one outfit, accessory, or grooming detail as your signature presentation; you can revise it when you finish a Long Rest.
2Level 2
Borrowed Appearance
As a Bonus Action, expend one use of your Finiten's Poise to alter your apparent age, voice, grooming, and nonmagical clothing details for 1 hour. You have a number of uses equal to your Proficiency Bonus and regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest; this doesn't change your game statistics or provide a disguise kit's physical components.
3Level 3
Finiten Subclass
Choose a Finiten subclass, which grants features at levels 3, 6, 10, and 14.
4Level 4
Ability Score Improvement
5Level 5
Poised Conviction
When you make a Charisma (Deception, Performance, or Persuasion) check, you can expend one use of Finiten's Poise to give yourself Advantage. You can decide after rolling the d20 but before the outcome is determined.
6Level 6
Subclass Feature
Your subclass grants you a feature.
7Level 7
Living Disguise
Your Borrowed Appearance can now alter your apparent height and build within the same size category, and your voice can convincingly mimic a voice you have heard for at least 1 minute. A creature can discern the imitation with a successful Wisdom (Insight) check against your spell save DC.
8Level 8

9Level 9
Second Impression
When a creature succeeds on a saving throw against one of your enchantment or illusion spells, you can use your Reaction and expend one use of Finiten's Poise to impose a 1d4 penalty on that save, potentially turning it into a failure. You must use this feature before the spell's effects are resolved.
10Level 10
Subclass Feature
Your subclass grants you a feature.
11Level 11
Effortless Presentation
You can use Borrowed Appearance without expending a use. When you do, its duration is 10 minutes, and you can't alter apparent height or build.

13Level 13
Graceful Recovery
When you fail a Charisma (Deception, Performance, or Persuasion) check, you can expend one use of Finiten's Poise to reroll the d20. You must use the new roll.
14Level 14
Subclass Feature
Your subclass grants you a feature.
15Level 15
Double Take
When you cast an enchantment or illusion spell that targets only one creature and doesn't deal damage, you can choose a second eligible creature within range. The spell must be of a level no higher than 2, and you can use this feature once per Long Rest.

17Level 17
Always Ready
When you roll Initiative and have no uses of Finiten's Poise remaining, you regain one use.
18Level 18
Versatile Repertoire
You learn two additional cantrips from the Bard spell list. They count as Finiten spells for you.

20Level 20
Unforgettable
Once per Long Rest, when you fail a Charisma check or an enchantment or illusion spell you cast fails to affect every target, you can choose to treat the check as a 20 on the d20 or have one target fail its saving throw. This can't turn a natural 1 on a check into a critical success.

ResourceFiniten's Poise: a limited-use reserve equal to your Proficiency Bonus, regained on a Long Rest. Several class features expend these uses.
MulticlassingPrerequisite: Charisma 13. When you take your first Finiten level, you gain proficiency in one skill from the Finiten skill options. Multiclass spell slots are calculated using the standard multiclass spellcaster rules; use the Bard's spell-slot progression for Finiten levels.

Playing one
What it is
Finitens shape how others perceive them through cultivated presence, uncanny imitation, and magic that makes a convincing impression linger.
How to play one
You are a full spellcaster with a social specialty, not a replacement for a dedicated martial character.
Use spells to control a scene or create an opening, then use presentation and skill checks to make that opening matter. Finiten's Poise rewards saving limited uses for consequential checks and pivotal saves; your disguise features help create opportunities but don't automatically defeat scrutiny.

In the world
Training
Finitens learn by studying the small agreements between appearance and expectation: gesture, voice, dress, timing, and attention.
An apprenticeship commonly begins with observation exercises and supervised performances; some initiates train in theaters or diplomatic houses, while others learn through practical work as advocates, couriers, or investigators.
How others see them
People often find Finitens charming until they wonder whether the charm was sincere.
In places accustomed to court intrigue they are valued as negotiators and performers; elsewhere their skills invite suspicion, especially from anyone who fears being made a fool.
