Playing one
What it is
Storybound are leaders whose courage and empathy make other people braver.
They turn attention, promises, and shared purpose into practical aid: steadying allies, opening paths, and helping a group recover when a plan goes wrong. Their strength is not royal blood or a destined role, but the trust they earn and the example they set.
How to play one
You help the party stay on its feet and make important rolls count.
Use Rallying Presence before an ally is in immediate danger when possible, but keep some Rally Dice for a clutch check or saving throw. Your best turns often involve choosing who needs encouragement most and positioning yourself where allies can see or hear you.

Training
Storybound training is informal but demanding.
A mentor teaches attentive listening, public speaking, first aid, negotiation, and how to make decisions under pressure; apprentices then serve a community through a season of work. No title or lineage is required: the tradition recognizes those who earn trust through action.
How others see them
Most people welcome Storybound as reassuring organizers who can rally a frightened crowd.
Rulers may value their diplomatic talents, but those who depend on obedience can distrust a leader whose influence comes from earned trust rather than rank.
