Stop Hadrik Before He Escapes With the Records
Read Aloud
The sealed command chamber shakes as Hadrik tears records from iron drawers and throws them into a chest. Four dwarves lock shields at the doorway while a priest raises a marked war-hammer. Behind the map table, gears grind and stone begins to move, revealing that someone planned an escape before you arrived.

Battlefield Zones
The stone map table fills the center; creatures can circle it, but crossing over it costs 10 extra feet of movement.
The only normal exit is sealed by a dropped barrier. Four guards can brace here and make the approach costly.
A narrow balcony overlooks a deep ventilation shaft. The iron rail is waist-high and can be climbed or broken.
Terrain Levers
- Hadrik can pull the red iron handle to drop a stone barrier across the main doorway.
- A guard can crank the vent wheel to blast hot air across the balcony; creatures in the gust must steady themselves or fall prone.
- A weapon rack can be shoved into a 5-foot doorway, creating difficult terrain until cleared.
- The hanging banners conceal narrow murder-slits; a creature behind one has half cover until the banner is cut down.
