Ash Beneath the Furrows
Read Aloud
The grain whips without wind as four masked cultists hack at the glowing furrow. Two lean hounds slip between the rows, their paws blinking from earth to blue light. The fissure pulses, and the nearest stones crack with frost.

Battlefield Zones
1
The Grain Rows
Waist-high grain hides creatures beyond 10 feet and provides half cover to creatures inside.
2
The Broken Irrigation
Three broken stones surround a shallow channel of blue light; the ground flickers between solid earth and open rift.
3
The Open Furrow
A black fissure cuts across the field, shedding cold light and blocking a direct charge.
Terrain Levers
- Break an irrigation stone to flood one 10-foot square; creatures there make a DC 12 Dexterity save or fall prone.
- A glowing furrow can be stepped across safely, but crossing it without care costs 10 feet of movement.
- Kick loose ash into a flickering patch; the patch becomes solid ground until the end of the next round.
