Stop the Courier at the Churchyard
Read Aloud
Wet grass tears beneath your boots as two black hounds burst from the graves and drive you toward the mausoleum steps. Silas Veridian backs onto the bell tower walkway, clutching a silver sigil while stones, grave soil, and dropped weapons spiral around him. He looks over the escape route and says, "One more step, and this churchyard takes flight."

Battlefield Zones
1
The Churchyard
Leaning tombstones, wet grass, and shallow graves; creatures here have half cover while prone.
2
Mausoleum Steps
Three mausoleum steps rise above the yard; the cracked doors provide half cover.
3
Bell Tower Walkway
A narrow iron walkway beside the bell tower overlooks the eastern escape lane; falling is 25 feet to the churchyard.
Terrain Levers
- Cut the bell rope to drop the iron clapper onto the walkway.
- Kick loose tombstones into the vortex to create cover or hazardous debris.
- Break the mausoleum rail to open a short escape route.
- Ring the bell to daze creatures within 20 feet until the start of the ringer's next turn. The bell can be rung once per round.
