Tzicxotl Brask
Species
Rock Gnome
Appearance
Tzicxotl is a compact rock gnome with a narrow, spring-loaded posture and hands that never seem entirely still. Their skin has the warm brown tone of fired clay, textured with a fine dusting of pale freckles across the knuckles and temples. Their copper-red hair is cut short on one side and left in a thick, braided crest on the other, threaded with tiny blue glass beads. They walk with a slight forward lean, as if perpetually approaching an invisible puzzle. Within a minute of meeting them, most people notice that Tzicxotl never looks first at a speaker's face. Their eyes track hinges, pockets, loose stones, ceiling beams, and the movement of nearby hands. The unexpected contradiction is their immaculate clothing, which remains spotless despite their constant work with soot, oil, and powdered metals.
“Precise and quick, with clipped consonants and sudden pauses. Tzicxotl speaks more softly when angry and more rapidly when excited.”

Distinguishing Features
A braid of copper-red hair threaded with blue glass beads
A left thumb stained permanently turquoise from a failed transmutation experiment
Tiny brass measurement marks tattooed along both wrists
A habit of watching hinges, pockets, and ceiling beams instead of faces
A faint smell of cedar oil, hot metal, and rain on stone
Voice
“A dry, quick voice with a faint rasp, like a quill scratching over brass. Their volume is usually low, but important words land with startling force.”
Clothing
A moss-green waistcoat over a cream linen shirt, charcoal trousers reinforced at the knees, soft leather boots, and a sleeveless copper-threaded coat covered inside with labeled pockets. A tiny tool harness circles their waist. Every garment is carefully patched but never visibly dirty.
Body Language
Tzicxotl leans toward mechanisms and away from crowds. They perch on the edges of chairs, tap two fingers against their wrist in prime-numbered rhythms, and tilt their head whenever someone lies. In danger, their shoulders lower and their movements become unnervingly precise.
