Krausk Vey
Rogue, Doorwarden Commander
Krausk Vey
Species
Orc
Appearance
Krausk Vey is a massive orc whose stillness feels heavier than another warrior's motion. His skin has the dull green-gray texture of weathered slate, with broad pores and a faint sheen around the temples from constant exertion. He keeps his head shaved except for a narrow ridge of black bristles running from crown to nape, bound with small iron rings that click softly when he turns. His tusks are short, squared, and capped with dark bronze guards engraved with the names of Ark Council gates. Within a minute of meeting him, people notice that he checks the nearest threshold with two fingers before speaking, as if measuring whether the room can hold what is about to happen. He breathes through his nose in slow, controlled counts, yet when angered his breath becomes almost inaudibly fast. The unexpected contradiction is that his hands are remarkably delicate, with careful fingertips better suited to repairing locks than breaking bones.
“Low, dry, and carefully paced. Krausk leaves deliberate pauses between sentences, never raises his voice unless issuing an evacuation order, and pronounces names with exact formality.”

Distinguishing Features
Bronze caps on his squared tusks are engraved with gate names rather than decorations.
A narrow ridge of black bristles runs from his shaved crown to the nape, each section bound by a small iron ring.
He checks doorframes and thresholds with two fingers before entering.
His hands are unusually careful and finely dexterous for his size.
His breath is slow and counted when calm, but becomes almost noiselessly rapid when he is angry or afraid.
Voice
“A deep, dry baritone with a faint rasp like a key dragged across stone. His volume stays low even when giving battlefield orders, making people instinctively quiet to hear him.”
Clothing
A sleeveless charcoal coat reinforced with layered leather plates, a high collar of overlapping iron scales, and a broad utility belt carrying keys, chalk, wedges, and lock tools. His left shoulder bears a plain white door symbol, deliberately unadorned. Beneath the armor he wears a faded blue work shirt from his maintenance-quarter childhood.
Body Language
Krausk stands squarely without puffing himself up, keeping his shoulders low and his hands visible. He touches the edge of the nearest doorframe before entering any room, counts exits with brief glances, and turns his entire torso toward whoever is speaking. When rattled, his jaw tightens around his tusks and his breathing shifts into rapid, silent counts.
