Mirodan Velisar
Wizard, School of Abjuration
Mirodan Velisar
Species
Half-elf
Appearance
Mirodan is a tall, narrow-shouldered half-elf whose movements are precise until he is startled, when his whole body flinches like a struck wire. His skin has the warm brown tone of walnut polished by years of sun, but a silvery sheen shows along his knuckles and temples whenever he casts. His face is long and thoughtful, with a crooked nose, a deep crease between his brows, and a smile that arrives several seconds after the joke. He carries himself like a weary court musician, yet his hands are scarred, strong, and permanently stained with cobalt glass dust. The contradictory impression is striking: he looks fragile enough to be blown from a rooftop, but he has the stillness of someone who has held a collapsing door shut while others escaped.
“His voice is low, musical, and carefully paced, carrying rounded vowels and a faint Levantine and Slavic cadence. He speaks softly enough that listeners lean toward him, then becomes startlingly loud when issuing a warning.”

Distinguishing Features
A thin silver scar runs from his left ear to the corner of his mouth.
His left iris contains a tiny dark crescent shaped like a broken moon.
Cobalt glass dust permanently glitters beneath the skin of his fingertips.
He wears a brass wedding ring on a cord around his neck, though he has never been married.
His shadow sometimes moves a heartbeat late when he is frightened.
Voice
“A resonant baritone with a dry warmth, like a cello heard through a closed door. His laughter is unexpectedly high and breathless.”
Clothing
A smoke-gray longcoat lined with faded blue silk, a high-collared cream shirt, soft black trousers, and calf-high boots repaired with mismatched red thread. A bandolier of brass tubes crosses his chest, each tube holding powdered glass, chalk, or rolled maps. He wears one bright yellow glove on his left hand because he dislikes the color but believes it makes him easier for allies to spot in a fight.
Body Language
Mirodan angles his body toward exits while appearing attentive. He taps two fingers against his wrist when thinking, shields his spellbook with his elbow, and leans closer to frightened people while stepping back from confident ones. In battle, his posture becomes almost dancer-like, with his feet tracing small geometric patterns across the ground.
