Tüxan Veyra
Harbor Watch Captain
Tüxan Veyra
Species
Human
Appearance
Captain Tüxan Veyra is a weather-beaten human with a narrow, wind-burnished face and the compact posture of someone who has spent decades leaning into bad weather. His skin is scored by fine salt cracks around the knuckles and cheeks. A pale scar crosses his lower lip, giving his resting expression the look of a skeptical half-smile. He walks with a slight forward tilt, as though the whole village is perpetually pitching beneath him, yet his hands are astonishingly gentle when repairing a child's toy boat or tying a sailor's bandage. His left ear is ridged with old frostbite and never stops twitching during a storm. The contradictory impression he leaves is that of a hard man carrying himself like a tired nurse.
“His voice is low, clipped, and roughened by years of shouting over surf. He pauses before names, as if deciding whether each person has earned the full weight of being addressed.”

Distinguishing Features
A left ear twisted by old frostbite and sensitive to pressure changes.
A rope-burn ring around his right wrist that never fully faded.
A tiny carved bone gull tucked behind his collar, replaced every year on the date of the cutter disaster.
His brass whistle produces a faint second tone when the stolen storm-stones are nearby.
Voice
“A low harbor-master's rasp, controlled and dry, with sudden force when he gives an order”
Clothing
A tar-darkened wool coat beneath a patched scale vest, high sea boots, fingerless gloves, a red watch sash, and a brass whistle stamped with Brinewake's wave-and-eye seal. His coat contains stitched pockets for chalk, spare cord, sealing wax, and stormglass.
Body Language
He plants his boots wide, keeps one hand near his belt knife, and turns his injured ear toward unfamiliar voices. When angry, he becomes unnaturally still. When moved, he rubs the inside of his wrist where a faded rope burn circles the skin.
