Arkhaz Meskhi
Sorcerer
Arkhaz Meskhi
Species
Human
Appearance
Arkhaz is a lean, long-limbed human whose movements have the precise pauses of a clock mechanism. His face is narrow and handsome in a severe, unfinished way, with a small brass gear embedded beneath the skin at his left temple. Fine red lines pulse beneath his throat and wrists as though his veins have been replaced with illuminated wire. His hands are stained permanently at the fingertips with copper dust and dried blood. He walks with a slight limp, yet can cross a room in sudden, unnerving bursts of speed. The contradictory impression is of a frail scholar who somehow occupies space like a siege engine.
“His voice is low, dry, and carefully paced, with an unexpected musical lift on the second-to-last syllable of important words. He speaks like a court mathematician explaining a murder he has already solved.”

Distinguishing Features
A brass gear visibly turns beneath the skin of his left temple.
His fingernails are translucent and threaded with faint red light.
His shadow sometimes moves half a second after he does.
A thin scar circles his neck where the Crown Engine once selected him as a replacement component.
He smells faintly of hot metal, iron-rich water, and mountain rain.
Voice
“Quiet and resonant, with a faint metallic overtone, as if every word is spoken inside a brass chamber.”
Clothing
A high-collared wine-red king's coat reinforced with thin brass plates, layered over a black linen shirt embroidered with geometric mountain patterns. His boots contain retractable climbing claws, and a half-cape of woven copper wire hangs from his right shoulder. He wears no crown in private, only a circlet of interlocking gears around his throat.
Body Language
He keeps his elbows close to his ribs and rotates his left wrist in tiny circles when thinking. When lying, he touches the brass gear at his temple. In combat, his posture becomes unnaturally erect, with his chin lifted as if listening to an invisible orchestra.
