Kaktik Rumiq
Witch, level 2 healer and hex-crafter
Kaktik Rumiq
Species
Goblin
Appearance
Kaktik is a small, elderly goblin woman with a pear-shaped body, long knotted fingers, and a spine bent slightly to the left as if she spent half her life listening at locked doors. Her skin has the rough green texture of weathered lichen, mottled with rust-colored freckles across her cheeks. One ear is broad and fanlike, while the other has been folded into a permanent crease. She walks with a hooked staff, but her movements are unexpectedly quiet and precise, each step placed like a chess move. Her smile is nearly toothless except for one polished brass tooth that catches the light. She gives the impression of a dangerous little bird that has somehow learned everyone else's secrets. The contradictory element is her immaculate hands, which are always scrubbed clean despite her work with herbs, ash, and carrion.
“Her voice is low, dry, and surprisingly resonant for her size. She speaks Common with clipped phrasing and Goblin with rapid bursts of clicks and breathy whistles.”

Distinguishing Features
A polished brass tooth engraved with a tiny spiral.
One creased ear and one unusually broad ear.
A necklace made from copper buttons, each taken from someone she once saved.
A pale scar crossing the bridge of her nose from a mining blast.
She smells faintly of wet stone, mint, and wood smoke.
Voice
“A dry contralto with a rasp like a clay pot dragged across stone. When she is genuinely amused, the rasp vanishes and her laugh becomes a sudden bright cackle.”
Clothing
A patched charcoal shawl hangs over layered brown and ochre tunics. Every hem is reinforced with colorful woven bands marked with tiny geometric clan symbols. She wears a belt of glass vials, a red wool cap beneath a strip of silver mesh, and soft boots stuffed with dried grass.
Body Language
Kaktik tilts her head sharply when evaluating someone, taps her brass tooth with one fingernail when lying, and keeps her hooked staff between herself and anyone who reminds her of the clan elder who exiled her. When calm, she crouches rather than sits, balanced on the balls of her feet.
