Jespera looks as though the forest has taught her to move without disturbing its thoughts. She is long-limbed and lightly built, with a quiet spring in her knees and a habit of turning her whole body before turning her head. Her hands are callused along the first two fingers from years of bowstring work, but her nails are kept meticulously clean. She leaves an impression of cool attention rather than beauty or menace. The unexpected contradiction is her immaculate, almost fussy grooming: even after crawling through mud, she will pause to smooth one stray lock of hair and wipe a leaf fragment from her sleeve before speaking.
