Valerius is a tall, broad-shouldered human commander whose polished armor makes him appear carved from dark glass and pale metal. Fine star-sand has been worked into the plate, catching torchlight in slow silver glimmers whenever he moves. He walks with measured precision, placing each boot as though the floor were a tactical map. His left cheek bears a thin white scar shaped like a branching crack in basalt. The unexpected softness of his face is concealed by a neatly trimmed mouth and watchful eyes, giving him the unsettling impression of a patient schoolmaster standing inside a battlefield.
