Mielu Oskava
Untrained survivor with latent psionic talent

Appearance
Mielu looks like someone who has been assembled from several different kinds of hardship. Their skin is brown-gold and permanently roughened by wind, with fine pale scars crossing the knuckles and throat. They move slowly when watched, almost lazily, but their balance is startlingly exact, as though every step has already been measured against the slope of the ground. Their face is narrow, gentle, and weatherworn, with a small round nose and a mouth that often seems on the verge of apologizing. One ear is pierced with a copper ring, while the other has been replaced by a smooth disk of dark clay. Their hands are exceptionally clean despite their surroundings. The unexpected contradiction is their hair, which is soft, thick, and carefully braided with tiny blue beads, an almost tender decoration on a person who otherwise appears prepared to vanish at any moment.
“Quiet, measured, and dryly observant. Mielu speaks in short sentences when frightened people are present and uses old formal phrasing when angered.”

Distinguishing Features
A smooth dark clay disk replaces the outer shell of the left ear.
Their copper ear ring is stamped with the defaced insignia of a former templar office.
Their palms bear tiny geometric scars from an old discipline used to focus psionic exercises.
They carry blue beads despite claiming that blue is an unlucky color.
Their shadow often seems to pause for a fraction of a second after they stop moving.
Voice
“A low, warm contralto with a dry rasp beneath it, like cloth drawn across pottery. Mielu rarely raises their volume. When they do, the voice becomes startlingly clear and carries across wind as if the air has briefly decided to listen.”
Clothing
A layered wrap of faded rust, sand, and washed blue cloth, secured with braided cord rather than metal fasteners. Their hood is patched with scraps from old caravan banners. A broad sash contains folded water cloths, chalk, dried dates, and several small clay tokens. They wear soft rawhide sandals reinforced with woven reed soles.
Body Language
Mielu keeps their shoulders rounded and their hands visible, presenting harmlessness as a practiced skill. Their head tilts slightly when listening, but their eyes rarely stay on a speaker's face. In danger, their posture becomes upright and economical, and the softness leaves their movements entirely.
