Tamsin Vaelor
Ranger, Warden Archetype
Tamsin Vaelor
Species
Elf
Appearance
Tamsin Vaelor is a lean male elf with the weathered grace of someone who has slept beneath more trees than roofs. His skin is warm olive-brown, marked by fine white scars across his left cheek and knuckles. His ash-blond hair is worn in a short braid behind one ear, while the rest falls loose in wind-tangled strands. His movements are economical and nearly soundless, yet he has an unexpectedly gentle habit of touching doorframes and trail markers as he passes, as if greeting them. His face is stern at first glance, but his mouth softens whenever he hears frightened animals or children. He leaves behind the impression of cold rain, oiled leather, and a lantern burning steadily in bad weather.
“His voice is low, clear, and gently rasped by years of cold air and camp smoke. He speaks in measured phrases, allowing silence to do part of the questioning.”

Distinguishing Features
Seven tiny silver nails are braided into his belt, each taken from a Boundary Pine watchpost.
His left ear is notched near the tip, a wound caused by a door that opened into the wrong season.
A pale crescent mark beneath his tongue glows faintly during leyline disturbances.
His lantern burns with a blue-green flame even when unlit by oil.
He carries his predecessor's mismatched glove and refuses to explain why.
Voice
“A low, patient baritone with a faint Sylvan lilt, softened by long years of speaking over rain, wind, and frightened horses.”
Clothing
A moss-green traveling coat over layered charcoal linen, reinforced leather at the shoulders and ribs, soft gray boots wrapped with silent cloth strips, and a weatherproof half-cloak fastened by a tarnished silver ranger badge. His gloves are mismatched, one belonging to his vanished predecessor.
Body Language
Tamsin stands with his weight slightly forward, as if listening for movement beneath the floor. He rarely crosses his arms. Instead, one hand rests near his lantern and the other touches the worn silver nails braided into his belt. When angry, he becomes quieter and stops blinking for several seconds at a time.
