Appearance
Kestka is an elegant young swordswoman with a severe, composed silhouette that looks almost theatrical against the abandoned square. Within a minute of meeting her, people notice her teeth: the upper incisors are unusually broad and square, and when she laughs, which is rare, the expression looks startlingly childlike against her otherwise disciplined face. She moves with a measured half-step, favoring her left side as though every paving stone has to be negotiated with personally. Her stillness is more unnerving than her speed. She can stand beside the dry fountain for several minutes without shifting, then cross the square in a sudden, noiseless glide. Her beauty is sharpened by contradiction: she dresses like a court duelist but has the ink-stained hands and practical posture of a municipal clerk. The impression she leaves is of a blade carefully wrapped in ordinary paperwork.
“Low, clear, and carefully paced. She pronounces every consonant, especially names and numbers, and pauses before saying anything that could become evidence.”

Distinguishing Features
Broad square upper incisors that show clearly when she smiles or eats.
A pale blue thread permanently embedded beneath the skin of her left wrist from an old sealing ritual.
A habit of standing unnervingly still before moving with abrupt, silent speed.
Her brass buttons are all stamped with the insignia of a town that officially never existed.
Voice
“A low contralto with a dry edge, quiet enough that listeners lean closer. When she gives an order, her voice becomes unexpectedly gentle, which makes it more difficult to ignore.”
Clothing
A fitted charcoal traveling coat with a high collar, pale gray waistcoat, narrow black trousers, and soft-soled boots. Her cuffs are fastened with mismatched brass buttons taken from old civic uniforms. A long strip of blue cloth is wound around her left wrist, not as decoration but to hold sealed documents against her pulse.
Body Language
She keeps her shoulders relaxed and her sword hand open, never gripping the hilt until violence is certain. When listening, she tilts her head slightly to the left and presses her tongue against one broad front tooth. In tense moments, she aligns nearby objects with the edge of a table or paving stone.
