Nádra Akaré
Fighter
Nádra Akaré
Species
Half-Orc
Appearance
Nádra is a young half-orc woman with a long, narrow face, blunt lower tusks, and a calm physical presence that makes her seem older until she smiles. Her skin is olive-gray with warm brown undertones, roughened across the forearms and knuckles by quarry work. Fine pale dust has settled permanently into the creases beside her nails, no matter how thoroughly she washes. Three small, polished scars cross the outside of her left calf, parallel as if drawn with a ruler, left by falling slate rather than a dramatic battle. She moves with a careful, economical gait, placing each foot as though testing a bridge plank. Her shoulders and back are visibly muscled, but the rest of her is lean and almost delicate. The contradiction is in her hands: broad, work-worn hands that tremble slightly when someone praises her. Within a minute of meeting her, people notice that she inhales through her nose before speaking, as if weighing the air for danger, then answers in a surprisingly gentle voice.
“Gentle, measured, and slightly breathy. She often inhales through her nose before speaking, especially when nervous.”

Distinguishing Features
Three parallel pale scars on the outside of her left calf from the quarry collapse.
A thin veil of stone dust remains in the lines of her palms despite repeated washing.
Her lower tusks are blunt and carefully filed smooth, a habit inherited from her mother.
She wears a red thread sewn into her left cuff and touches it whenever someone mentions family.
Her hands tremble when praised, but become perfectly steady when someone else is in danger.
Voice
“A soft contralto with a quarry worker's carrying power hidden inside it. Her laugh is brief and startled, usually followed by a glance around to see whether anyone noticed.”
Clothing
A faded moss-green work shirt with the sleeves rolled unevenly, a sleeveless leather apron patched with canvas, charcoal trousers tied at the ankles, thick wool socks, and reinforced work boots. A red thread is sewn through the left cuff as a private remembrance of her mother. She wears a cracked brass whistle around her neck but almost never uses it.
Body Language
Nádra keeps her elbows close and often hooks one thumb beneath her belt when speaking to strangers. She leans toward people when listening, but retreats half a step whenever conversation turns personal. Her shy smiles arrive late, as though she has to make sure they are permitted. In danger, her posture changes completely: chin level, feet planted, shoulders squared, and hands open before reaching for her hammer.
