Appearance
Taska is a compact young woman who seems built from folded rope and impatient angles. She crouches rather than sits, balances rather than leans, and moves with the careful economy of someone accustomed to wet tiles and bad footing. Her face is plain at first glance, but a crooked half-smile appears whenever danger becomes interesting. Her hands are meticulously scrubbed, while the rest of her looks permanently rain-damp. She keeps one eyebrow combed smooth and the other deliberately unruly, an oddly vain contradiction that strangers notice within minutes. In a low-angle silhouette, her narrow shoulders, hooked knees, and reversed dagger make her look like a bird preparing to drop from a wire.
“Low, quick, and matter-of-fact, with clipped sentences that become unexpectedly tender when she speaks to children or injured animals. Her accent carries the flat practical cadence of Vaskor's working districts, with a few inherited eastern consonants from her father's family.”

Distinguishing Features
A deliberate uneven eyebrow, one carefully groomed and one left unruly
A crooked half-smile that appears whenever she spots a tactical advantage
A brass button polished to a mirror shine despite the grime on everything else she owns
Red ankle wraps that darken almost brown when soaked
A habit of holding her dagger reversed against her thigh when crouched
Voice
“A rain-soft contralto with a dry edge, as if every sentence has already survived an argument.”
Clothing
A rain-darkened set of fitted brown leathers patched with mismatched black thread. The left sleeve is too long and covers part of her hand, while the right has been cut short for easier knife work. She wears soft-soled boots wrapped at the ankles with faded red cloth, a narrow gray scarf, and a single immaculate brass button taken from her father's old coat. Her belt is overburdened with cord, chalk, wax, and tiny tools.
Body Language
Taska keeps her weight forward, knees loose, and hands close to her centerline. She rarely turns her back fully on anyone. Her half-smile appears before a threat, not after it, and vanishes whenever someone mentions her family. When relaxed, she hooks one heel over the edge of a chair or ledge.
