Shara Nefetti
Druid, Circle of the Nocturn
Shara Nefetti
Species
Human
Appearance
Shara Nefetti is a striking black-skinned woman with a calm, predatory beauty. Her teeth have been carefully sharpened into small, even fangs, more like the teeth of a fruit bat than a vampire. Her face is broad-cheeked and expressive, with a thin scar crossing the bridge of her nose and disappearing beneath her left eye. She moves with a working person's economy, never wasting a gesture, yet when she enters darkness her body seems to loosen and lengthen, as if the night itself is carrying her. Her hands are callused from pruning thorn-vines, repairing temple roofs, and gripping a sickle. The contradictory impression she leaves is that of someone both dangerous and deeply domestic: a temple guardian who can make a room feel safe while standing perfectly still in the darkest corner.
“Low, measured, and intimate, with a working-country cadence. She rarely raises her volume.”

Distinguishing Features
Sharpened, carefully maintained canine teeth that resemble small fangs
A pale scar across the bridge of her nose and beneath her left eye
Silver-gray crescent tattoos circling both wrists, which darken when her Mantle of the Nocturn is active
A left ear pierced with seven tiny bone rings, each representing a life saved in the temple
Her shadow sometimes moves a heartbeat after she does
Voice
“A low contralto with a dry, patient warmth. In darkness, her voice seems slightly closer than it should be, as though spoken beside the listener's ear.”
Clothing
She wears layered charcoal-gray linen, a sleeveless indigo over-robe, and a mantle stitched with tiny silver moths. Her nonmetal armor is made from lacquered strips of dark bark and treated hide beneath the robe. A crescent-shaped temple sash hangs at her hip, stained with years of soil, lamp oil, and medicinal herbs. Her boots are soft-soled and wrapped at the ankles with strips of moon-white cloth.
Body Language
Shara keeps her shoulders relaxed and her weight balanced over the balls of her feet. She tilts her head toward faint sounds, often watches reflections instead of faces, and touches two fingers to her fangs when making a promise. In combat she becomes nearly motionless between bursts of sudden, low movement.
