Seraphel Cambride
Cleric, Order Domain
Seraphel Cambride
Species
Human
Appearance
Seraphel is a broad-shouldered human man whose stillness feels more commanding than most people's movement. His face is composed, square-jawed, and weathered around the mouth by years of sea wind and sleepless administrative work. He looks at rooms by examining thresholds, exits, hands, and the people nobody else is watching before he looks at the person speaking to him. His movements are economical and exact, as if every gesture has been rehearsed for public memory. An unexpected softness appears when he handles damaged books or frightened children, and his large hands become almost delicate. He leaves an impression of polished stone warmed from within by a hidden ember.
“His voice is low, controlled, and resonant enough to carry across a cathedral without shouting. He speaks with formal precision in public, but his private speech contains clipped harbor idioms and unexpectedly dry humor.”

Distinguishing Features
His eyes move through a room in a deliberate circuit, checking exits, servants, weapons, and the quietest person before settling on the speaker.
The skin of his hands is roughened and rope-burned from childhood work, an incongruous texture beneath immaculate vestments.
His right sleeve is always pinned with a tiny brass ship's wheel belonging to his dead mother.
He smells faintly of beeswax, salt, and extinguished candle smoke.
When he walks, the three cords of his stole swing in separate rhythms, making his approach recognizable before he speaks.
Voice
“Seraphel's voice is a calm baritone with the rough undertone of a harbor bell heard through fog. He rarely raises it. When truly angry, he becomes quieter, forcing everyone nearby to lean toward him.”
Clothing
Immaculate white clerical robes hemmed with gold thread, layered over practical padded armor and a concealed chain shirt. His over-stole bears three cords: blue for mercy, red for law, and gray for judgment. He wears soft black boots suitable for long hours on stone floors, and a plain iron signet rather than a jeweled crown.
Body Language
Seraphel stands with his hands folded over his sternum when listening, but his left thumb repeatedly presses against the third cord of his stole when he is uncertain. He rarely points. Instead, he turns his entire body toward the person he has chosen to acknowledge. During anger, his posture becomes even more ceremonially perfect.
