Path Captain Coren Thicket-Walker
Species
Wood Elf
Appearance
Coren is a lean, elegant wood elf whose movements are so economical that he seems to arrive before the eye notices him traveling. His autumn-amber hair is tied loosely at the nape, with stray strands caught in tiny bronze seed pods. His sharp green eyes constantly track exits, wind shifts, and the positions of everyone nearby. A lightweight cloak woven from living, dormant moss rests over his shoulders, its nap shifting from russet to deep green to gray-brown with the seasons and with Coren's mood. His skin has a warm copper tone dusted with pale freckles resembling lichen. He wears supple black-brown leather armor decorated with delicate Sylvros leaf-filigree. The unexpected contradiction is his hands: elegant and soft-looking at first glance, but heavily scarred across the knuckles and fingertips from years of climbing iron watchtowers and dismantling Azimut restraint mechanisms. He leaves an impression of quiet woodland grace interrupted by the unsettling sense that every nearby branch is listening with him.
“His voice is low, dry, and unhurried, with the soft rasp of leaves dragged over bark. He pauses before answering difficult questions, as if consulting a second speaker just beyond hearing.”

Distinguishing Features
Amber hair threaded with bronze seed pods.
A thin white scar running from the left ear to the jaw.
A living moss cloak that changes hue with season and mood.
A small notch missing from the tip of his right ear.
Green eyes that reflect gold when Sylvros magic is nearby.
Voice
“Low, dry, and leaf-soft, with a measured cadence that becomes almost musical when he speaks Sylvan.”
Clothing
Supple dark leather armor beneath a seasonal moss cloak, soft gray-green trail boots, fingerless gloves, a braided copper belt, and a narrow Sylvros sash bearing diplomatic knotwork. His clothing is carefully maintained but never ornamental for ornament's sake.
Body Language
Coren stands with his weight slightly forward, as if listening through the soles of his feet. He turns his head before his eyes, rarely blinks during negotiations, and rests two fingers against nearby wood when thinking. When Azimut officials use mechanical terminology for living things, his mouth tightens into a small, dangerous smile.
