Appearance
Nixie is a small, kinetic rock gnome who seems perpetually half a second away from springing apart into loose components. Her wild blonde hair is tied back with a brass spring, though several soot-stiffened locks have escaped and point in different directions like bent antennae. Her bright violet eyes flick constantly toward ticking clocks, swinging hinges, drifting sparks, and anything else that moves without being pushed. Grease streaks her cheeks in permanent diagonal bands, while her fingertips are darkened by metal polish and alchemical residue. She moves in abrupt bursts, stopping dead to listen before darting sideways with unnerving precision. Despite her grubby, frantically practical appearance, she has an unexpectedly delicate smile and keeps her tools arranged with almost ceremonial elegance.
