Miran Sulek
Species
Qumon, the Fractureborn
Appearance
Miran has a broadly humanoid shape, but his outline seems to settle a moment after he stops moving. His skin is matte and finely pebbled, like river clay dried in shade, while his curled horns have the smooth, worn sheen of handles polished by years of work. He walks with careful, economical steps and keeps his shoulders tucked as if passing through a crowded doorway. Within a minute of meeting him, most people notice the scent of damp wool, crushed mint, and the faint metallic smell of rain on a cellar grate. He knows about the mint and offers no explanation.
“Plain and measured, with short pauses before personal answers. His words are precise without sounding scholarly, and he often corrects himself from certainty to possibility.”

Distinguishing Features
Two short horns curl inward over his temples, ridged like old wood grain.
A faint smell of crushed mint follows him, though he never carries the herb.
His skin briefly ripples with pale rings when he lies about something precious to him.
His voice begins with a small, audible intake of breath, like someone about to test cold water.
Voice
“A low, dry voice with a soft rasp at the start of each sentence, as if he has just come in from cold air. He speaks gently, but never singsong.”
Clothing
A patched charcoal work coat with a high collar, a faded blue sash, soft-soled boots, and fingerless wool wraps. He keeps a clean linen square tucked inside his collar despite the rest of his clothes being visibly mended.
Body Language
Before speaking, he pauses and takes a shallow breath through his nose, as if testing the room's mood. His hands stay busy with a cuff seam or a small brass token. When he is angry, he becomes unusually still; when embarrassed, his curled horns tilt toward whoever has noticed.
