Kett Oruja
Fighter, Champion archetype
Kett Oruja
Species
Beast-person, badgerfolk; custom ancestry
Appearance
A broad-shouldered badger beast-person with dense, velvet-dark fur banded in iron gray and a pale stripe running from crown to muzzle. Her movements are unexpectedly precise: she plants each boot as softly as a cat, then turns with the abrupt economy of a closing gate. Before speaking, she takes a small, audible sip of air through her nose. When rattled, that measured breath becomes a dry, fluttering snuffle she tries to disguise as a cough. Her hands are blunt-clawed and careful with paper, yet she can fold a map into a perfect square while arguing. The impression she leaves is of a warm hearth built inside a siege engine.
“Low and measured, with a soft rasp at the ends of sentences. Her orders are clipped, but her explanations carry a gentle, careful rhythm.”

Distinguishing Features
A pale stripe of fur runs from her forehead down the bridge of her muzzle, breaking into two narrow points between her eyes.
Her left ear tilts toward whoever is speaking while the right remains angled toward the nearest exit.
Her breathing is conspicuously quiet until she is troubled, when a dry snuffle interrupts her words.
She wears a small, neatly folded scrap of indigo-dyed cloth inside her coat, too worn to be part of a uniform.
Voice
“A low, steady contralto with a woolly rasp. She draws breath almost silently before speaking, except when agitated, when her inhale becomes a brief, dry snuffle.”
Clothing
A dark green officer's coat with a high collar, repaired at both elbows with mismatched brown cloth; beneath it, fitted mail and a quilted gambeson. She wears a plain copper clasp stamped with Dunmorrow's gate-and-river mark, sturdy boots, and a gray scarf that smells faintly of soap and wool dye.
Body Language
She stands squarely, chin slightly tucked, and keeps one palm near the brass whistle at her belt. Her nose tests the air before she answers. A doubtful order earns a small pause and a slow exhale; when anger breaks through, her shoulders lower and she stops blinking.
