Tazkira Kargit
Noble
Tazkira Kargit
Species
Dragonborn
Appearance
Tazkira is a youthful dragonborn woman with scales like hammered molten gold, bright at the brow and deepening to old-brass tones along her shoulders and hips. Her scales are not perfectly smooth. Fine overlapping ridges catch the light like the edges of coins, especially when she turns her head. Two short, swept-back horns frame a crown of dark copper hair braided with tiny blue glass beads. She stands very straight, but when waiting she places nearly all her weight on the balls of her feet, as though ready to step backward from an insult or forward into danger. Her movements are quiet and economical, strangely graceful for someone so tall. The unexpected detail is her hands: broad, blunt-clawed, and usually smudged with charcoal from sketching maps, despite the immaculate rest of her presentation. She leaves an impression of warmth held tightly behind ceremony.
“Her voice is low, clear, and carefully paced, with clipped consonants and a faint eastern cadence. She pronounces names correctly after hearing them once.”

Distinguishing Features
Molten-gold scales with darker brass ridges along her neck and forearms
A pair of short blue glass beads braided into her dark copper hair
A heavily worn family signet ring, polished smooth on one side by constant thumb rubbing
A habit of standing on the balls of her feet as though every conversation might become a sudden negotiation or flight
Charcoal smudges on her claws from drawing maps despite her otherwise immaculate court dress
Voice
“Warm contralto, restrained and resonant, with a dry edge that becomes unexpectedly gentle when speaking to children or exhausted workers”
Clothing
She wears layered robes of deep indigo and muted violet, deliberately contrasting with her gold scales. The outer robe is cut like a noble's traveling kaftan, with split sides for movement and stiff geometric embroidery in dull silver thread. A narrow crimson sash carries her family's seal, though the lower corner is frayed from repeated handling. Beneath the robes she wears a fitted chain shirt and soft leather boots.
Body Language
She keeps her shoulders square and her chin level, but her tail gives away her mood by making small, impatient taps against the floor. While waiting, she balances on the front of her feet with one thumb resting against the worn edge of her signet ring. In conversation she rarely points at people. Instead, she turns her whole torso toward them, giving them her complete attention.
