Species

Appearance
Prime Meridian is a narrow, austere human man whose stillness feels less like calm than a pause imposed on the world. His smooth silver-white hair lies perfectly against his scalp except for one dark lock above his left temple, a contradiction he refuses to correct. His face is sharp and contemplative, with a small scar crossing the bridge of his nose as if cut by a falling shard of glass. His deep brown eyes catch pale reflections of moving celestial spheres that are not present in the room. He walks with measured economy, never quite placing his heel where observers expect it, and the air around his fingers smells faintly of cold brass, chalk dust, and rain on stone.
“His voice is low, precise, and deliberate, with a faint rasp like a pen moving across thick paper. He speaks in measured clauses and rarely uses contractions.”

Distinguishing Features
A dark lock of hair that returns whenever it is cut or burned.
A brass chronometer whose second hand sometimes moves backward.
A thin scar across the bridge of his nose that appears longer in old portraits.
His shadow occasionally turns its head a heartbeat before he does.
A faint ring of silver discoloration around his left iris.
Voice
“Low, exact, and quietly reassuring, with the soft cadence of a scholar who has already heard the question in several different forms.”
Clothing
High-collared charcoal wool robes embroidered with branching silver temporal loops and orbital charts. Beneath them he wears a fitted slate-gray vest, insulated gloves marked with calibration numerals, and soft-soled boots designed for silent movement across metal platforms. A brass pocket chronometer hangs from his belt, its hands occasionally snapping backward before resuming their sweep.
Body Language
He holds his hands loosely behind his back, thumbs touching in a precise rhythm. When someone lies, one finger stops moving. During moments of danger, he turns his head slightly as though listening to a second room layered over the first.
