Brenna Coalmaw
Fighter
Brenna Coalmaw
Species
Mochaear (Badger folk)
Appearance
Brenna is an imposing badgerfolk standing 6'9" when she straightens fully; she moves with a low, deliberate lumber that keeps her center of gravity near the earth. Her fur is mottled mocha and ash, coarse along the shoulders and silkier at the throat. Her muzzle is blunt and dust-scarred from years of delving; faint old burn scars ripple in her right ear. She wears a stained travel cloak with the hem pasted with salty sand and the faint smell of smoked meat. A battered greatsword named 'Tidebreaker' hangs across her back in a harness lined with small bone charms; a child's faded ribbon is tied around its pommel, incongruously neat and pink. When she laughs, her whole body seems to relax and a surprisingly small, warm chuckle escapes her — an unexpected softness from such a hulking figure.
“Direct and low-pitched, uses earthy metaphors ('Like a stone in a tide' or 'Let the roots hold'), softens to a croon with children. She uses short declarative sentences in battle, longer, rumbling stories by the fire.”
