Kaldor Silt-Scale
Species
Dragonborn
Appearance
Kaldor is a towering Dragonborn with the long, elegant proportions of a ceremonial spear. His polished copper and aged bronze scales overlap in fine, tight rows, each ridge catching light like worn coin. He moves with statue-like stillness until he acts, then crosses a room in one smooth, startling glide. His hands are broad and scarred at the knuckles, an unexpected reminder that the diplomat learned to fight in freight yards before he learned to sign treaties. He smells faintly of cedar oil, hot metal, and rain on stone. His presence leaves people feeling measured, as though they have already been entered into a ledger they cannot see.
“His voice is a soft, controlled rumble with a dry rasp beneath it, like a bronze bell heard through a furnace wall. He speaks slowly enough to make interruptions feel childish, and he pronounces names with exact care.”

Distinguishing Features
A thin white scar runs from the left corner of his mouth to the hinge of his jaw, cutting through otherwise flawless bronze scales.
His left horn is polished smooth while the right remains naturally ridged, a deliberate refusal to appear perfectly symmetrical.
A silver treaty seal is fused into the scale beneath his throat and becomes cold whenever someone knowingly lies during a formal negotiation.
He carries a small broken shrine-marker in a velvet-lined case and touches it before signing anything.
His lightning breath smells of wet iron and crushed mint.
Voice
“Quiet, resonant, deliberate, and intimate enough that listeners lean closer despite themselves.”
Clothing
Immaculate layered diplomatic robes of charcoal, deep blue, and muted copper, embroidered with silver scales and reinforced at the ribs with hidden lamellar plates. His sash carries Coalition seals, emergency-passage tokens, and a narrow strip of salt-brined treaty cloth. His gloves are white except for the fingertips, which are stained with black sealing wax.
Body Language
Kaldor stands with his hands folded behind his back, shoulders relaxed, chin slightly lowered. He turns his head before his eyes, making every person feel individually selected. When angered, he becomes more motionless. When frightened, one thumb rubs the edge of his signet until the scale there grows warm.
