Shathir Quispe
Rogue
Shathir Quispe
Species
Elf
Appearance
Shathir is a lean, long-limbed wood elf with the compact balance of someone accustomed to walking on wet ledges above open water. He moves without the usual glide associated with elves. Instead, each step lands softly but decisively, as though he is testing the city beneath him for hollowness. His hands are the first thing most people notice: broad across the knuckles, darkened by old dye and mineral residue, with nails kept brutally short and fingertips polished smooth from years of handling wire, locks, and sewer masonry. His face is narrow and watchful, with a small, tired smile that appears at inappropriate moments. The unexpected contradiction is his immaculate posture. Even when filthy, bleeding, or asleep against a drain wall, he sits or stands with the formal bearing of a court envoy.
“Low, breathy, and carefully paced. His voice carries well through tunnels without becoming loud.”

Distinguishing Features
His hands are unusually clean at the fingertips despite the grime on his clothes, because he scrubs them obsessively after touching locks or corpses.
Keeps his head perfectly still while his eyes move rapidly, giving the impression that he is listening to several conversations at once.
A thin chain of brass sewer tokens hangs from his left cuff and clicks softly when he draws a weapon.
His smile is warm when speaking to strangers but vanishes completely around former comrades.
He smells faintly of wet stone, fennel soap, and lamp oil.
Voice
“A quiet, dry tenor with a soft rasp, as though every word has passed through dust and water before reaching the listener.”
Clothing
Wears a faded blue-gray gambeson beneath a sleeveless leather coat that is too large across the shoulders and carefully patched at the hem. Brass sewer tokens are sewn into the left cuff, while the right cuff has been replaced with pale sailcloth. His boots are soft-soled and wrapped with waxed cord. The one over-cared-for item is a small copper clasp at his throat, polished daily despite the rest of his clothing being stained with lime, mud, and lamp soot.
Body Language
Keeps one shoulder angled toward the nearest escape route. He touches walls with two fingers when passing through unfamiliar tunnels and turns his palms upward when making a promise. In conversation, he watches people's hands more than their faces.
