Vigilant Kaelen Vane-Bright
Species
Silver Dragonborn
Appearance
Vigilant Kaelen Vane-Bright is a tall silver dragonborn whose polished platinum scales catch the light like sharpened glass. His armor is immaculate in construction but deliberately battered, its breastplate marked by dull scuffs, rain stains, and one deep crescent cut that he refuses to repair. A white-trimmed chivalric mantle hangs from his shoulders, usually damp at the hem from roads and stable floors. He moves with the economical precision of a trained duelist, yet his tail often betrays him by twitching sharply when he is angry. His face is severe and handsome, with a narrow muzzle, swept-back horns, and a single chipped tooth visible when he speaks. The unexpected contradiction is that his intimidating, almost statuesque presence is paired with gentle hands and a habit of kneeling in mud to listen to frightened children.
“His voice is a controlled baritone with a faint metallic resonance, like a bell heard through snowfall. He speaks carefully and rarely uses contractions when addressing officers.”

Distinguishing Features
A thin white scar runs from his left horn to the corner of his eye.
The third knuckle of his right hand is permanently bent from striking a locked granary door.
His platinum scales are polished everywhere except his left shoulder, which he leaves dull as a memorial to a dead village guard.
His oath-book is bound in cracked brown leather and filled with annotations written in three different inks.
His tail makes a sharp, involuntary snap whenever someone invokes honor to excuse cruelty.
Voice
“Measured, resonant, and courteous until someone abuses authority, at which point every word becomes polished enough to cut.”
Clothing
Fitted plate armor of silvered steel, a white-trimmed Argent Order mantle, dark blue traveling trousers, weatherproof boots, reinforced gloves, and a stained leather satchel containing dispatches, medical supplies, and dried fruit
Body Language
Kaelen stands rigidly when observed by officers, but relaxes into a low crouch around civilians and animals. He keeps one hand near his sword during arguments, not to threaten anyone, but to remind himself that violence is available and therefore must be chosen carefully. When lying, he presses the edge of his oath-book against his palm until the leather leaves an impression.
