Sivri Odu
Monk, Way of the Open Hand
Sivri Odu
Species
Half-Elf
Appearance
Sivri Odu is a slim, elegant half-elf woman who stands perfectly upright even when exhausted, as if an invisible thread runs from the crown of her head to the soles of her feet. Her movements are quiet but never timid. She turns corners with the fluid precision of poured ink, then ruins the effect by grinning at people from upside down when she has the opportunity. Her hands are the first thing most people notice: long-fingered, callused across the palms, and stained permanently gray at the knuckles from years of grinding charcoal, polishing bells, and practicing strikes against soot-covered stone. She is dressed almost entirely in black and soft gray, yet a childish string of red glass beads is tied around one ankle. The contradiction makes her seem both dangerous and oddly approachable. In fog, her silhouette appears taller than she really is, and her playful expression often arrives a heartbeat before the rest of her face.
“Her voice is low, clear, and lightly roughened by years around furnaces and bells. She speaks with an off-beat rhythm, placing emphasis on the second or fourth word of a sentence rather than the obvious one.”

Distinguishing Features
Her palms and knuckles are permanently dusted with gray charcoal that never fully washes away.
She pauses after inhaling through her nose before speaking, as if listening for a sound beneath the conversation.
Three silent bells hang from her sash, and she touches each one in sequence when making a difficult decision.
She smiles most broadly when caught doing something morally questionable for a good reason.
Her left ankle bears a bright red glass bead that looks comically festive against her severe clothing.
Voice
“A smoky contralto with a teasing lilt, usually soft enough to make listeners lean closer. When angry, she becomes quieter instead of louder. When frightened, every word is pronounced with careful, almost formal precision.”
Clothing
A sleeveless charcoal tunic beneath a long black split-coat, gray wrappings around her forearms and calves, soft-soled traveling shoes, a narrow sash holding three bells with their clappers removed, and one red glass bead tied around her left ankle
Body Language
She keeps her shoulders relaxed and her chin slightly raised, balancing on the balls of her feet even while standing still. Her hands are expressive, often sketching invisible circles in the air. When someone lies, she becomes unnaturally motionless except for one slowly curling finger.
