Gorla-thuk Eltab's Tongue
Cleric (Twisted Eltabite Domain)
Gorla-thuk Eltab's Tongue
Species
Half-Orc
Appearance
Gorla moves like a weathered siege engine — heavy-footed and deliberate, but with a surprising lurching grace when she wants to intimidate. Her face is a hammered map: a jagged scar arcs from temple to cheek where ritual iron once caught her, and one canine fang is filed into the shape of a tiny inverted spear, a mark of devotion. Her skin is pocked from old burns and ritual brands; ash and a stubborn smear of black incense resin always cling to the hollow behind her collar. She favors asymmetry: one sleeve is full and embroidered with stitched blood-red sigils, the other arm bare down to the elbow to show a braided leather cuff studded with bone beads. Unexpectedly, she carries and treats a limp, moth-eaten puppet — a child's ragged thing — which she props on her shoulder and sometimes consults as if it were an oracle. The puppet's one glass eye has been replaced with a polished black bead engraved with Eltab's mark, and Gorla sometimes kisses it in private.
“Her voice is gravelly and precise; she varies cadence for effect, slowing to a syrupy drawl to intimidate or quickening to chant to inspire zeal. She laughs like iron scraping stone and sometimes speaks ritual phrases mid-sentence that make her listeners uncomfortable.”

Ragged puppet with one black-bead eye always at her shoulder
Black incense resin permanently in collar hollow
Voice
“Low, sandpapered, with a sing-song cadence when chanting and a sudden, narrow rasp when angry that makes listeners flinch.”

Half-plate darkened to matte black with lacquered bone inlays, a heavy iron-studded kilt of leather, and a tattered crimson sash embroidered with Eltabite runes. She layers a hooded ritual cloak of rough wool that smells of brimstone and myrrh; under it she wears an iron gorget etched with a thinned demon's grin.
Body Language
Leans forward when intrigued, props the puppet on her shoulder to command attention, and spreads arms wide during oratory sessions to make her armor clink menacingly.
