Iverin Quillhush
Wizard
Iverin Quillhush
Species
Gnome
Appearance
A soot-smudged forest gnome with a scholar's stoop and a constant half-step of motion, as if his body is always arriving a heartbeat after his mind. His left sleeve is burned to the elbow, his robe hems are frayed with ink stains and singe marks, and one silver button is missing, revealing a pocket stitched shut with red thread. He looks like a man who has slept in libraries, cellars, and disaster sites more often than in a bed. The oddest thing about him is his calm face, which is almost serenely polite even while the room around him suggests panic, collapse, and a hurried search for something terribly important. His hands are delicate and restless, with blackened fingertips from chalk, charcoal, and spell residue.
“Measured and precise, with a scholar's cadence and occasional bursts of eager speed when he is excited. He often speaks as if he is annotating the world in real time, and his compliments sound like well-considered assessments.”

Distinguishing Features
A thin scar across the bridge of his nose shaped like a cracked ink line.
One brass eyepiece fitted with a rotating lens assembly for reading fine script and residue marks.
Ink-black fingertips that never fully scrub clean.
A faint smell of ozone, old paper, and candle wax follows him.
A stitched-red pocket on his robe that he never opens in public.
Voice
“Soft, quick, and lightly nasal, with the careful crispness of someone used to reading aloud in libraries. He sounds calm even when he is alarmed, which makes his rare moments of real fear more unsettling.”
Clothing
A patched indigo wizard robe with a detached star-patterned collar, cracked brass clasps, a travel belt hung with chalk, quills, and pouch charms, and soft boots reinforced with stitched leather soles. His hat has been folded flat and re-shaped so many times it now resembles a scholar's hood more than a classic pointed cap.
Body Language
Leans forward with intense focus, then recoils as if remembering himself. He pinches his thumb and forefinger together when measuring invisible distances, and he unconsciously pats his robe pockets to check that every note is still there. His smile comes late, usually after he has already decided to help.
