Akitora Daro
Rogue, Sewer Scout and Mercenary
Akitora Daro
Species
Half-Elf
Appearance
Akitora looks like a man who has spent half his life moving through places built to carry waste and water. He is narrow-shouldered but tightly put together, with a low, economical posture and a habit of resting the outside edge of one boot against the nearest wall while he waits. He never stands squarely in a room. His body always presents an angle, as if measuring the shortest route to a drain, doorway, or dropped weapon. His hands are clean but permanently roughened at the fingertips, and his nails carry a faint gray stain from powdered charcoal and lampblack. The unexpected thing about him is his tenderness of movement. He handles cups, children, injured animals, and expensive blades with the same careful patience. His stillness feels more threatening than most people's aggression.
“His voice is low, dry, and unhurried, with a faint rasp from years of speaking through smoke and running water. He clips the ends from sentences, pauses before names, and becomes more formal when frightened.”

Distinguishing Features
A copper ring on his left thumb, constantly checked and turned without conscious thought
A faint crescent of white mineral buildup along the cuffs of his boots
A small braid behind his right ear threaded with blue sewing cord, a mourning custom from his father's family
His habit of standing with one boot touching a wall or drain grate
A surprisingly gentle smile that appears most often when he is discussing traps
Voice
“Low, dry, and patient, with a working-class cadence that becomes almost formal when he is frightened or deeply angry.”
Clothing
A dark brown boiled-leather coat patched with waxed canvas, close-fitting charcoal trousers, soft-soled boots with copper studs in the heels, a faded red neck cloth, and a sleeveless gray rain mantle fastened with three mismatched bone toggles. His belt holds tools rather than trophies.
Body Language
He leans lightly against walls while waiting, keeps his hands below chest height, and turns his head before turning his eyes. When angered, he becomes unnaturally still and begins rubbing the copper ring on his left thumb. He rarely points, instead indicating objects with the edge of his hand.
