Nyssa Khatari
Rogue
Nyssa Khatari
Species
Human (Port Kagra heritage)
Appearance
Nyssa moves like a whispered promise and an accusation. She wears a matte black, close-fitting jumpsuit that absorbs light; seams are reinforced with faintly glossy filaments that catch and hold a single stray highlight when she changes angle. Her boots are soft-soled and tooled for silence. She keeps her left sleeve rolled to mid-forearm to reveal a pale, faded tattoo of a broken compass; the skin where her right ring finger was has been neatly cauterized and scarred. An incongruously fragile porcelain charm — the head of a tiny laughing child — dangles from her belt, its paint hairline-cracked. When she stands still she seems to lean forward a fraction, as if ready to slip away; when she walks, her motion is economical but feline. The overall effect is shifty and precise, with an odd softness: up close the jumpsuit has hand-stitched patches only she can see.
“Crisp, economical sentences that favor irony. Uses clipped metaphors drawn from the port and knot-work; rarely raises her voice but will pause deliberately before a lie.”

Right ring finger missing; neat, faintly shiny scar
Faded broken-compass tattoo on left forearm
Porcelain child's head charm on belt (painted, cracked)
Always keeps one eye slightly hooded — makes her gaze hard to read

“Quiet, slightly husky, with a clipped rhythm. Tastes toward dry humor; rarely raises pitch but quickens tempo when excited.”
Clothing
Black reinforced jumpsuit, soft black boots, hidden pockets and sheathes, a slate-gray half-cloak used to obscure profile, fingerless gloves with thumb grips, a narrow leather band over the remaining knuckle of her right hand
Body Language
Constant micro-adjustments — shifting weight, smoothing an invisible seam, eyes scanning perimeters; keeps her fingers busy (coin twirling, knot-tying) to occupy nervous energy.
