Mosi Kivuli
Commoner with innkeeper training
Mosi Kivuli
Species
Tabaxi
Appearance
Mosi is a broad-shouldered tabaxi with the compact, balanced build of someone who has spent years carrying full trays through crowded rooms without spilling a drop. His fur is short and dense, patterned in warm cinnamon and cream bands that become almost golden around his muzzle and wrists. The fur along his forearms has been permanently darkened by flour, smoke, and years of handling cast-iron cookware. His hands are unusually memorable: large paw pads, blunt black claws, and fingertips roughened into pale, pebbled ridges from scrubbing pots and repairing wooden furniture. He moves with a quiet, rolling grace, placing each foot as carefully as if the floor might complain. His whiskers tremble constantly when he is listening. The unexpected contradiction is that this imposing, heavy-set innkeeper has an almost delicate habit of arranging every object in straight lines, even while arguing with someone.
“His voice is low, rounded, and conversational, with a soft purr beneath certain vowels. He speaks slowly when welcoming guests and almost too carefully when lying.”

Distinguishing Features
His paws are broad and visibly roughened by years of scrubbing iron cookware and carrying hot trays.
His whiskers are trimmed short on the left side because he once singed them over a stove, leaving that half of his face oddly neat.
He breathes through his nose with a faint rhythmic whistle when tired or worried.
His amber eyes narrow not with menace but with intense concentration whenever he listens.
He always smells faintly of toasted cumin, woodsmoke, and clean wool.
Voice
“A mellow baritone with a gentle purring resonance, like warm tea poured into a clay cup. His breathing is usually quiet and measured, but fear makes it whistle and anger makes it stop between words.”
Clothing
A moss-green waistcoat stretched over a cream linen shirt, a russet apron marked with old flour stains, loose charcoal trousers, and soft leather boots reinforced at the toes. He wears a brass key ring on a cord around his neck and keeps a folded blue headscarf tucked into his belt.
Body Language
Mosi keeps his shoulders relaxed and his tail low in public, projecting dependable calm. When suspicious, he becomes perfectly still except for the tip of his tail, which taps once against the floor for every lie he hears. When frightened, he presses his thumb against the first knuckle of his left paw until the pad pales.
