Kethar Gal-Serun
Oath of Glory Paladin
Kethar Gal-Serun
Species
Leonin
Appearance
Kethar is a hulking leonine man who moves with the careful readiness of a street thief and the measured grace of a sparring champion. His golden mane hangs in a warrior's knot at the nape, threaded with thin silver wires etched with city warding runes; stray tufts flare when he prepares to strike. The mithril plates of his armor are burnished to a mirror sheen yet show fine scratches and old filigree dents—evidence of alley scrapes as much as battlefield service. His long cloak is tattered at the hem but stitched in places with silk from a noble's robe. He carries a holy avenger longsword at his hip and a second dancing longsword that floats at his side when summoned; an animated shield, the Shield of the Cavalier, rides his back and occasionally shifts to stand at attention as if waiting for orders. When he relaxes his shoulders slump slightly—an unconscious remnant of sleeping in doorways—and when he walks his steps are both deliberate and light, betraying the athleticism of a lifetime of climbing rooftops. The overall impression is of a lion that has learned to hide its roar beneath a practiced, watchful stillness. The unexpected contradiction: he wears immaculate golden armor yet scents of smoke and frying onions cling to him, a souvenir of late-night alleyway meals.
“Measured, low-pitched with a soft rumble; he uses short sentences when giving commands and long, almost poetic turns of phrase when musing. He interjects street-slang idioms with formal oath-speech.”
