Sivra Vey
Species
Elf
Appearance
Sivra is unusually tall for an elf, with a long, reedlike frame that seems almost fragile until she moves. She walks with the careful balance of someone crossing a wet deck, placing each foot silently and never quite disturbing loose gravel. Her hands are the first thing most people notice: narrow, strong, and deeply callused along the fingertips, with faint amber staining from rosin worked into the skin. Her hair falls in pale smoke-colored ropes that cling together in damp weather, while several small silver bells are woven into the ends. Her expression is soft and watchful, but her smile can arrive with startling speed. The unexpected contradiction is her posture. When silent, she folds inward like a shy reed in rain, yet the moment she lifts her violin, she becomes broad, commanding, and almost theatrical, as if the instrument has lent her a second skeleton.
“Soft, measured, and lightly breathy, with crisp consonants and a subtle lilt that makes ordinary observations sound like the opening of a song. Her humor is usually dry and delivered without changing expression.”

Distinguishing Features
Silver bells woven into the ends of her smoke-pale hair, which ring only when she is lying
Rosin-darkened fingertips and a permanent crescent of polished skin beneath her chin from years of playing
A tiny notch in the violin's scroll shaped like a sleeping eye
She carries herself as if she is listening to a distant conversation no one else can hear
Her shadow sometimes appears to move a half-beat behind her while the Sleeper's Refrain is being played
Voice
“A low, gentle contralto with a breathy edge, usually quiet enough that listeners lean toward her. When she sings, the softness remains, but every note carries with the clarity of a struck glass.”
Clothing
A charcoal traveling coat lined with faded blue wool, a high-collared cream shirt, fitted trousers, soft leather boots, and a broad sash containing spare strings, chalk, and tiny folded music sheets. Her cuffs are embroidered with wave patterns in dull copper thread.
Body Language
Without her violin, Sivra keeps her elbows close, tilts her head toward whoever is speaking, and often rubs rosin between her thumb and forefinger. With the violin beneath her chin, she straightens to her full height, plants her feet like roots, and watches the audience over the instrument's bridge with unnerving confidence.
