Appearance
Badger is a compact, broad-shouldered human with the dense balance of someone who has spent years learning how not to be moved. He walks with his weight slightly forward, as if the ground might suddenly become a deck in rough water. His black bandana is wrapped over the crown of his head and tied beneath his thick, dark hair, its edges softened by salt and repeated washing. His hands are unusually steady, with blunt nails and pale pressure marks across the palms from years of gripping a weapon that does not always remain solid. He has a small, polished brass bead threaded into one lock of hair, a keepsake from Elder Ravaan Kiri. His face is stern at rest, but his smile, when it appears, is unexpectedly shy and boyish. Before speaking, he takes one quiet breath through his nose. When rattled, that breath becomes audible and measured, like a smith pumping a bellows.

Clothing
A black bandana covers the top of his head. He wears a long charcoal coat with a high collar, oil-dark leather bracers, a sleeveless quilted vest, reinforced trousers, and soft-soled island boots. The coat conceals Viper at his waist, though no visible sheath can contain the blade's awakened form. A faded red cord around his left wrist is tied in the knot used by Whym harbor families to mourn the drowned.
Body Language
Badger keeps his elbows close and his chin slightly lowered, giving the impression of a closed gate. He rarely points, preferring to indicate things with a tilt of his wrist. When angered, he becomes unnaturally still and his breathing turns audible. When genuinely amused, he looks away before anyone can see the smile.
